Having a mare...Warning VENT

Well, after finally accepting I have money problems I got onto CCCS and am in the very early stages of a DMP, all good, feeling a little better about myself that atleast I am doing something about it....

THEN.... I've had the mother of all weeks.....

First....going through the process of splitting up with the missus. I've been pretty depressed about money problems for some time now and it has finally driven a wedge between us...

Second...Dishwasher has stopped working
Third...Oven fan is making a grinding noise
Fourth....Washing machine has started leaking

Never rains it pours.

Nightmare :wall: :(

tackle the most pressing issue first. your oven eg...do you have a hob/microwave/grill to cook with in the time being? could you do your laundry elsewhere and get washing machine fixed when you've had a few months to save up for it? dishwasher, although time and effort saving, does nothing that you can't do in a sink yourself. it's a !!!!!, but then so is being in debt.

From someone who has had depression and anxiety issues, I would sort out your separation as a first port of call. no matter what state your money is in, you won't be in any position to sort it out if you don't look after yourself first.

I hope that things get better soon for you. it's a real ache of the balls but these things are sent to try us :) just keep swimming...

Thanks everyone. I was just venting off really:

Washing machine is still usable but needs a towel underneath :)
Dishwasher - I agree, I can manage with good old fashioned marrigolds and elbow grease.
and the oven can be used without the fan (and I have a microwave)
I'm more concerned about the split with the missus of the effect on our 6-year old daughter, i'll survive :)

My main concern is getting all the b*****s fixed.....
