Great news personally as family members had 2 * 3.92kw systems installed in mid Feb. Payback should be approx 5 years now.0

That bit is of course wrong !
The rate is inflation linked and goes up next week.
But the start rate was 43.3p the info is correct which I copied and pasted from bbc website.
but thats a load of rubbish to some people!!!!Creator of the FREE SOLAR POWER BUYER GUIDE.:spam:all over it!!!0 -

Same here really. I took the 'gamble' though it wasn't really a gamble as 21p would still have made PV work for me. The fact there was a very high chance the government would eventually lose made it even better. I actually signed up the night before the government lost their initial appeal so good timing for me.16 x 250W JA Solar Panels (JAM6-60-250) : Fronius IG TL 3.6 Inverter : South Facing : 28 Degree Pitch : No Shading : Manchester M460 -

What system did you buy gary?
16 x JA Solar JAM6 60/200-250 250W panels
Fronius IG TL 3.6 Inverter with a 20yr warranty
Really happy with it and its performance. I'm watching a few locally via PVOutput and mine always yields more, one being a Sanyo system. It'll be interesting to see if the tides turn come summer.
Currently I'm just short of 17kWh so should crash into the low 20's today, 19.38kWh being my best to date.16 x 250W JA Solar Panels (JAM6-60-250) : Fronius IG TL 3.6 Inverter : South Facing : 28 Degree Pitch : No Shading : Manchester M460 -

Yeah the systems were installed knowing that 21p was a real possibility. Even then they'd have been worthwhile - but would have taken near double the time.
Yesterday was the highest yielding day - 21.95kw from a 3.92kw system. Fairly happy with that!0
