I think that's more or less what was in a pack that I bought from the 99p store, so if you have one of those locally it would be cheaper to buy from them, or Poundland may have them as well.0 -
I agree, poundland has a good range of bulbs, and wilkinsons too for that price, but jparkers do have some cheap plants in the offers section, so worth a look.0

I did a J Parkers order at the beginning of this month (placed on the 2nd) and I received my order on Friday. I know it says to allow 28 days for delivery, but I though this might be to cover themselves if they do have to use the full four weeks for whatever reason - most things come way before the delivery date, don't they? No- not these guys
Anyway - so I bought one of the £1.99 blueberry bushes, and a weigela (SP?) and a few packs of bulbs and whatnot - all of the plants were damaged beyond use - it was all packaged in a big cardboard box, with the plants rattling around and being squashed by the bulbs. The five free cactus dahlia - parts of bulbs, not actually bulbs. Not very impressed to be honest.
I agree that it would be better to go to Wilkos or Poundland - at least then you can see what you are getting before you buy it - I have wasted £30 when I could have got better bulbs and plants for a lot cheaper. So much for a good deal.0 -
That's odd, filmnerd. I have had two orders (for a selection of fruit trees, fruit bushes inc. blueberry bushes on both orders, bulbs and corms and dormant plants) from them in the last six weeks. One was delivered within a week and everything was as expected, the second took nearer three weeks but was, again, absolutely fine. All plants/trees/bulbs etc have been planted and look perfectly healthy. My grandmother would never buy from parkers as she had a bad experience with them once, but I have ordered from them many times over a period of years and never had any problems."A cat can have kittens in the oven, but that don't make them biscuits." - Mary Cooper

Hi Sue ... I got the same email and was looking for a free P&P code when I came across a £5 discount on orders over £10 on HDUK (thanks scobarboy)
http://www.hotukdeals.com/vouchers/5-off-10-minimum-spend-using-offer-code-j-parker-bulbs-1174476
I also noticed there was another (freebie) offer on the Parker website ... orders over £10 got 5 Dahlias free ... so I up'd my order and got the following for £9.48
M084 - 6 Surfinia Scarlet - £9.99
Z001 - 100 Bulb Collection Offer - £0.50
A001 - 5 Cactus Dahlia Mixed - FREE
£5 Off Discount Voucher - £-5.00
Subtotal: £5.49
Postage: £3.99
Total: £9.480 -
I've bought quite a few things from them more in the line of shrubs and small trees and all been good.
One i wasn't sure of and emailed them and they said all plants have a 12 month guarantee and to email back if no growth by spring.0
