Garage forecourt Bloomfield Road, Bangor, adjacent to Primacy Bar and Tesco's petrol station. Hand wash, chamois clean and polish for £5. Run by hard working Polish people, I have no hesitation in recommending them.

If your car is your 'pride and joy' you should never go to your bog standard car wash. The simple fact of the matter is that most of them use chemicals which are too strong because they focus on doing it quickly and secondly they use sponges/mitts/etc. which are rarely close to clean enough. The result is that any protection your car has is stripped away and they will put fine scratches into the paintwork. That is simply the way of it and it is heart breaking when you see someone roll their shiny new bmw into a 'car wash', thinking they are doing a good thing and not realising that a single wash like this could require hundreds of pounds worth of time from a professional to get the paint work back to where it should be.

Out of interest, why not clean it yourself? Even if you don't have space of access to water, a little garden sprayer and one of the waterless wash products makes it possible...
    Always overestimating...

I agree with that, they are really good, you just have to look at the queues to see how popular they are, I used to go to the Balloo Rd one until I discovered here.
