Can't see any light at the end of tunnel

am already dealing with CAB who are getting in touch with my creditors trying to do a deal with them of what I can pay each month to them. am still getting the phone calls though is there anything you can do to stop them?
Then to make matters worse have found out my hubby has a meeting next week to find out whether he will get made redundant. there is no way we could afford mortgage on my wages so house would get repossed what does that entail anyone and where do you go for finding housing help then i have two kiddies

  • It sounds as if the CAB are attempting a DMP with your creditors. Once that is set up the phone calls will stop. Nothing else will stop them I am sorry to say, they do tend to be persistent!

Could you not put your mortgage onto interest only for the time being? That is if your husband is actually made redundant? Would he get any lump sum redundancy payment?
What about selling your house, rather than just giving it up?

Are you claiming WTC/CTC - it is worth checking.

Your local council will have a housing list that you would sign up to.

Don't despair, there are ways to help you out.
  • No equity in it sell

    gawd knows what will happen

suppose things will get worse before they get better
  • The way I got round the telephone calls was to phone BT said I was having upsetting phone calls from ex ( which I was but you could say the same ) and asked if I could change my number I also went ex directory ... killed 2 birds with 1 stone ..... you do get the letters but at least it's not as embarrasing as trying to get off the phone when you have friends round ...

If only ex could be sorted as easily :wall:
  • p.s .... If you do this and you phone the creditors remember to dial 141 before the number or your new number will show up on their screens ....
