Hiya Rich, glad it's been sorted.

Can I be nosey, and ask what inverters did you end up with? Did the installers stick with SMA, I've got my fingers crossed for 1300TL's as they're a little bit more efficient that SB1200's (which I've got one of).

All the best, and I hope it's sunny with you.

    Mart.

    2 SB1200's I'm afraid.
They seem to be doing the job, but I'm sure part of it is psychological!!!

No worries, they do the job well. I'm just chasing the little bits now. I'm actually in a similar position as the 5 panel system is too tricky to match up with a dual MPPT inverter for the whole ESE 3.6.

Hopefully for both of us, there'll be some new inverters around in 10 years time giving more choice of dual MPPT's with lower voltage limits (like the Steca 2000 or 2010). Or bite the bullet and go with power optimisers and a SolarEdge system, but that means scaffolding costs. Oh well, you can't have everything!

Edit: Maybe you can have everything. SMA recently started to offer there SB3000TL with dual MPPT's. If they produce a dual version of the SB2500TL you'd be golden.

    Mart.
