Ok, well ignore them for now. Wait for them to come back and show their hand.

After that you should be getting them to prove the debt, maybe a CCA request.
debt has had a payment and has already been acknowledged by the OP. a prove it letter is not the right way to go

try to claim ppi back, most cases win acknowledgmant over the phone is not sufficiant, you should of recieved it in writing as you would have a cooloing off period and would need to read T&C'S

Nonsense. Where does the OP say they've made a payment? Where do I mention a prove it letter?

CCA request is a valid plan of action.

The only payments I've made have been to Littlewoods, not to Capquest. I have never spoken to anyone from Capquest.

Capquest will now own your account (as they do mine).

Write a letter to Capquest asking for a copy of your consumer credit agreement (CCA). They may have to get it from littlewoods, they may have it, or it may not exist.

Send signed for, and enclose a postal order for £1.

If they cannot produce a copy (or an exact reconstituted one after 2007) then they cannot enforce the debt in court.
