Aldi instant coffee - which to buy?
Comments

I am supposed to have decaff and have been buying the Aldi gold decaff (the one with the blue lid) and it is okay, but a couple of weeks ago I got some of the half price "instinct" Carte Noir ground and instant mix stuff in Tesco and I mixed it up with the Aldi stuff and it has made a really great tasting coffee!!Jane

Buy any one you want, just avoid the one with the red lid that costs around £1.50.
It's nasty, so nasty that I have been moved to issue written warnings on several occasions....everything else from Aldi is good, but that coffee needs a really wide berth, but perhaps that's just me....0 -

We love Carte Noir but if it's not on offer we drink Tesco Gold which is very nice for the money, wasn't keen on the aldi gold, had the same aftertaste as the tesco value coffee, so was hoping to try some of the others.
I have been told it'll be June before they have any in our local store!!!0 -
If you cannot find instant at Aldi and want to try something else, then
Asda have Kenco Millicano 85g pouch for £2 (£2:35 / 100g) at the moment

Avoid the tins which have 15g more but are £4:19 at the moment0 -

I do like the millicano but it's a bit blinking dear even at £2!
Do you think that putting a teaspoon of filter coffee into a small jar of instant would give that effect?0 -
had to buy strong instant coffee (carte noir) for the first time last week as oh drinks cheap tesco ob happily and I hate the stuff. Found it makes an incredible difference to coffee cakes - as camp and cheaper instants are not strong enough.0

I have one of these, and you would get a better result with it if you wanted to add ground to instant
