Hi folks, a need a 12v battery but it need to be a certain type for a kids battery powered car. As you can see from the pic, the top of the battery is different from the norm - it has a facility for a power/recharge plug which is part of the car.
Does anyone know who sells such a battery or where I can get a standard battery modified to include the charging addition on top of it. Ta.

I would have though that part could be removed, and underneath you find a standard battery0

The problem is that the power cable that connects the car to the battery uses this type of connection. When I visited a couple of battery businesses in Belfast (one on lower Ravenhill Rd and Fyfe's up the Castlereagh Rd) they just looked blankly at me

Have you tried Maplin? They do a lot of stuff for remote-control cars and it looks like the type of thing they should have.0

yup,but it will be a standard battery underneath
so you need to see how that cover comes off
so you buy a standard battry and fit that cover back in

Thanks for the replies. I might just attack it with a screwdriver to see if the top comes off and get see if Fyfes can attach a new battery to it0
