Hey all
I was made redundant end of last year and been doing work through agencies which has been fine up until last month when the work died down. At the moment I'm on JSA which is't enough to pay all my bills.
I owe Halifax and Tesco £6.5k and I've been in contact with CCCS and they have advised me to pay my creditors a measly £1 each. CCCS have also advised on paying the £1 each ASAP and not to wait until they have replied to the template letter.
Now the questions, I was advised to change bank as I only have a Halifax account so I opened a Natwest account but the letters Natwest have sent, have a nice RBS logo on them. Are Halifax and Natwest connected to each other like they are with LLoyds? As in can they take money from my Natwest account when they please? I've already changed my JSA and agency pay to the Natwest account already....
Second question, I have 2 CC with Halifax and a loan, when I login online under the "Payments" tab on my account the 3 (CC & loan) are listed with the same sort code and account number, so I assume I can use this details to set up the standing order?
Sorry for the daft questions but all this is new to me and everytime I think about it, it worries me even more. I always told myself I wouldn't get myself into money trouble
Cheers!

Halifax is part of Lloyds Banking Group and Nat West is part of RBS group, so no, Halifax & Natwest aren't linked.Grocery Challenge £211/£455 (01/01-31/03)
