Yeh your totally right Yorkie. Thanks for ur reply. Decided not to go ahead with that and just spend the deposit on a nice caravan which solves all our problems :)

I would say owning a caravan is a "problem" in itself.

    Hello Kirsty,
I do hope you manage to get the property you want.
I have helped each of my 3 children to buy their properties. Twice in each case!
At no time have I had to produce bank statements.
Parents are always helping and are assumed to have savings I think!

If your partner is willig to give via your mum then why not?

Good Luck with your house purchase.
    Regards
    Hunnie

I appreciate your support to the OP but the answer to your question is because lying on the forms is a criminal offence.

Oh Yorkie, I really hope none of your kids if you have any, or family members end up in a situation where they are unable to use money they have spent so long and hard saving as their deposit for a house as & come to you for a bit of help. Im not asking them to borrow me money or anything of the sort! Im simply asking for the money to come from their account as my savings are all in my partners account. If this is a criminal offence then lock me away and throw away the key! I have a small baby and we are in very crowded conditions yet when i try to use my savings which we have worked bloody hard for im unable to and asking a bit of advice. As i said, i do hope your kids never find themselves in such a situation as we all know you would stick by the banks, the banks who basically rob people blind instead of helping your own family. Nice.
