Did you make arrangement to pay your activ kap account?
Is the activ kap account your debt? are you certain its not statute barred? This would be my first thought.
Do you know about statute barred debts?
If its not statute barred and it is your debt then you could consider writing to them using a proper full & final settlement template and offering them X amount to settle (you could well start at less than 50%).
Information on full & finals, what to look out for and template letter here - http://www.nationaldebtline.co.uk/england_wales/factsheet.php?page=24_full_and_final_settlement_offersA smile enriches those who receive without making poorer those who giveor "It costs nowt to be nice"0 -
I had a chat with a debt collector on the phone yesterday about an old debt. I'm not paying the debt I don't agree with it. I just answered the mobile and got into a conversation. The discount started at 25% then 50% then he said well as you are in dispute with the debt how about 75% discount. I still refused never acknowledging any debt...It only has 6 months to go and then becomes statute barred. I asked him me to take me to court to prove the debt and he said he doesn't have that proof and won't take people to court for debts under £1,000. Oh well....so what do we do...nothing...6 months and counting...bye bye debt.:footie:

Sounds like a very good offer then!
Have you taken them up on it?0 -
I would put in writing a much lower counter offer , say 25% of the total owed, just remind them it will take about 12 years to clear the balance and that is all you can afford.Excel Parking, MET Parking, Combined Parking Solutions, VP Parking Solutions, ANPR PC Ltd, & Roxburghe Debt Collectors. What do they all have in common?
They are all or have been suspended from accessing the DVLA database for gross misconduct!
Do you really need to ask what kind of people run parking companies?0
