Long story short I petitioned for my own BR in May 2010 This was accepted by the OR and I was given an IPA of £220 per month for 3 years (OR office is in Hull) total debts were in the order of £79,000
Everything has gone swimmingly since then and my IPA has never been adjusted up or down
I have met a wonderful man and he has asked me to marry him unforgivably I have not told him my full financial history and he has no idea of my previous BR He wants us to buy a house together which I know is impossible
Will I have to wait another year till IPA is over to avoid dragging him into this whole sorry mess vis-a-vis IPA? Or would it be possible to make the final 13 IPA payments in one lump sum thereby making all of the due payments?
Point two is in 2009 I spent £7590 on PIP breast implants I paid for this using a credit card
Do I have any redress from the private hospital? I had these done in through the CC insurance?
I had a scan done privately and they do seem to be intact and unruptured but naturally would like them replaced because of the health risks involved

3 options on the implants, the original implanted/ hospital, the credit card company and the NHS. If you pursued the CC company and got a refund I don't know if the OR would have a claim on it.
As for your fianc!, honesty is the best policy.
I don't know if the OR would accept a lump sum payment, they may be suspicious that people only offer lump sums if they expect their circumstances to change for the better to avoid an increase in your IPA. Once you live with your fianc! your outgoings change so you should inform the OR win 21 days and expect your IPA to change. If the fianc! doesn't disclose his income then the assumption is that all household bills are split 50/50.I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages, student & coronavirus Boards, money saving boards. Everyone has got a past, tell you OH yours and how you are managing this responsibly. It's much better than playing along with his plans knowing that they won't happen.Value-for-money-for-me-puhleeze!

Hi
I would be inclined to be honest with OH. Long term would be difficult to keep this from him and may not be best basis to start off on. Could save a lot of rows down line, trust is very important. You may well feel better once its in the open.
Good luck hope goes well for you.0 -
....
I have met a wonderful man and he has asked me to marry him unforgivably I have not told him my full financial history and he has no idea of my previous BR He wants us to buy a house together which I know is impossible ...
Then you'd best 'fess up now. Generally speaking, men don't marry for money, so it's unlikely to be a problem.0 -
Congratulations on the proposal, I agree with previous posters who have advised honesty. Even if you don't buy the house together things like home/ contents insurance can be invalidated if your br (former or current) status is not declared. It would be terrible if your OH tried to make a claim, had it turned done then found out it was because of your br. There is a gentleman on this forum who is working to get things but it is important for you to know.2019 MFW No. 74 £13700/£30000 (45.66%)
