Renting a house with an IVA??

Hello,
Can anyone help please?

My partner and I are looking at moving home, into another rented house.
I have taken out an IVA within the last 2 months though (have made my first payment already), does anyone know what effect having an IVA would have on our ability to rent a property?

Hi if you go through an estate agent/letting agent they will prob check your credit (some maybe ok with it?) but you can go through private adds and get references if needed off employer maybe. My ex did this as we were turned down by letting agent but got one private this way. Hope that helps
