Ashford designer outlet

I went to the Ashford Designer Outlet complex today, which has around 25 outlet stores all in one place.
Does anybody regularly go there to shop? Where and when are the best bargains to be had? What about the best discounts?
Also, are there similar complexes elsewhere in the UK? This is the first I've seen.

I go to Ashford shopping outlet from time to time. The best store as far as I can judge is Clarkes, which sell their footwear at even less than the online sale prices.

A good moneysaving tip is to park in the nearby Asda store just a couple of minutes walk outside the "tented village" style outlet. You still have to pay and display, but get a few stock items in Asda such as flour, spuds etc and they refund up to two hours parking.
  • I go there every so often. Always usually come home with Next outlet items, claire's as it's 30% off normal prices, and M&S. Sportswear is probably good value if that's your thing. There's an outlet in chatham dockyard, but not that great. It has Clarks, claire's, Next and M&S too.

Does it have any baby and children's stores?
I have had many Light Bulb Moments. The trouble is someone keeps turning the bulb off :o

Good for sports clothing, outdoor activity clothing, some cooking, luggage and a few designer names. Yes Clarks shoes do seem cheaper than online - if you can get your size! You can get 10% extra off by signing up to their email - I went to get a leather laptop rucksack at Antler, 2 weeks later all had gone, but got some Sketchers shoes with my voucher, so was happy. Need to pay to park now - relatively recently (2 years?). I usually go with my mum, so have a blue badge to park free.
  • Was there again yesterday. Got a fuschia jumper at M&S for £8 (the other colours are £12 - not everyone can carry off pink!). Also picked up a good handful of T-shirts in Gap which were 50% off. I always have a drink and cookie from Millie's cookies and get my loyalty card stamped - got my second free drink off it yesterday.
  • Clarks village in Somerset & Gunwharf Quays in Portsmouth both good too.

I went to Ashford 3 weeks ago and was pleased to see that BodyShop was back and that it now has a Superdry and Fossil shop as well! Took ages to find a parking space though as there was a lot of revamping going on.
  • I haven't shopped in Body Shop in quite a while - I thought they were getting a little expansive. However at Ashford I was drawn in as remember liking their Vanilla Musk shower gel way back. There was a good offer for 2 giant (750ml) tubs of shower gel (with handy pump) for £9.80. choice of several flavours. I went for satsuma and coconut. though Olive sounded interesting, but not entirely sure I would want to smell like an Italian restaurant starter all day!
I was offered a loyalty card - but you have to pay for it - is that common?
