Guys,
We are working very hard towards our DFD, however this is all with an aim to buying our own house in the future, all our current debt is in my OH name and is being managed well and snowballed, my question is would it be better for me to get a credit card and use/ spend/ pay off to give myself a credit history as well or will the fact that i have not got any credit (not had any of my own for over ten years due to serious previous situation with EX and joint Monies) but therefore do not have anything negative on my file, go against us on a future mortgage application,
I'm asking now because if I need to apply and credit build starting now will give me time to get more months under my belt before we apply for the mortgage?

Equally effective is demonstrating an ability to save regularly.
Focus on tackling that debt first.
Credit cards merely make spending money too easy.0 -
