Wedding Favour Ideas

I have spent hours looking at various wedding favour websites but I am really struggling to find something a little bit different and also suitable for my wedding!

I have 100 day guests and wanted to keep each favour below £1...I have already bought the organza bags to put them in, but nothing to put inside!

I don't want to give sweets as we have a sweet table + a huge wedding cake with various fillings + a dessert so I don't want to overdo it with even more sweets!

I can't give candles as the venue doesn't allow candles during the summer...I also thought about doing lottery tickets but my fiance isn't keen...So I'm completely stuck!!!! Does anyone have any ideas?!! Thanks!! :o)

What are your Wedding Flowers? Could you give each guest a packet of seeds containing a flower from your bouquet? Seed packets are about 99p each and you could probably get 2 favours per pack which would leave you some money left over that you could make mini envelopes from.

How about some flower or herb seeds - perhaps something with a personal element (e.g. flowers you've used in your bouquet or decorations, or related to where you're from/where you two met)? You could include a little tag with something along the lines of "sowing the seeds of love" or "let the love grow." This would be cheap and easy for someone to put in a handbag/pocket.

Ours have cost less than 20p per favour :)

We have purple organza bags with silver and gold butterflies on them.

We are putting 2 packs of mini love hearts in (I know you don't want sweets but you can put something else in)

Then a tiny little key as a momento, little metal key, and I mean little... 2cm long haha but they're so cute.

And then a card saying thank you for sharing out special day with us, then put our married names and the date on them :) Free from vistaprint :)

    Good luck xx

Seeds is a nice one.I know a lot of people do it, but I really don't get why you'd go for lottery tickets, it seems a bit unimaginative.
The last few weddings I've been to have had the following favours:
Homemade sloe vodka in personalised mini bottles
    Mini welsh love spoons
Heart-shaped cookie cutters with the B&G's favourite shortbread recipe
    A charity donation
    Seeds
    Choccies

How are you with cooking/baking etc? You could make fudge or wee biscuits or something like that?
I made plum jam from the tree in our garden and bought 100 mini jam jars on ebay for £32. Cheap, presonal and they were made nearly a year in advance :)
Or you could try and combine the favours and place settings? Wee candles with names written on them with a glitter glue pen, something like that? You said the venue doesn't allow candles but they wouldn't be lit so shouldn't be an issue.

  • I have got some wine glass charms made to match the colour scheme with fake pearls by a local lady. She ships her items too. They were 75p each. If you would like her number let me know.

I have just made 100 wine glass charms for my daughter. They have the date of her wedding on them. 100 rings and 1000 number/letter beads came to £14.80 think these look good as mementoes at a bargain price.
