Hi,
I am a council tennant with the full 70% discount (flat). Do I require a deposit for a mortgage or does my discount act as a deposit - also would I be able to borrow more than the discounted price for home improvements?

No deposit needex, and yes you could borrow more for home improvements only. The council will need proof by the way.
As its a coucil flat, I would check with lenders first about the property type etc some can lay restrictions ie no more than 3 floors brick and tile only.0
