  • It'll be minimum wage, I'm afraid. They don't pay any extra for weekend work.

Probably national minimum wage for an entry-level job.

Thanks, the hours are good for this asda job, no childcare costs and dad can look after my boy. They are building a tesco near us soon so at least if I am working in the retail sector it stands me in good position for other supermarket jobs.
I havent got the job yet, so lets see if I am successful. Do u get any perks, like discount and stuff

10% staff discount you get time and half for working bank holidays and time in lieu is given aswell, you have a couple double discount days at Christmas on selected products, one paid floating day at Christmas, paid bereavement leave and an annual bonus paid in Feb, your staff discount card can be used in at other places like 20% off Franky& Benny's and other National chains and places local to your store, there is also other incentives for good customer service, all in all it's not a bad deal

She's telling you porkies then. It's £6.50 across the board as far as i am aware. Unless she was queue busting and maybe a section leader or similar.

    Hi,

I work for Asda on the checkouts and get paid £6.94 per hour. You get paid slightly less during your probationary period.
