A kindle cover that actually protects!

I've just treated myself to A Kindle,

The 'official' Amazon Kindle cover is lovely and sleek, its the ONLY one I have found that has a proper snug 'edging' to protect the sides of the Kindle.

HOWEVER the cover doesn't 'lock' shut so it just swings around, which is quite frankly hilariously useless for the majority of people who must keep it in a bag with keys etc!

The other covers I have found have velcro etc to keep the cover shut, but seem to have nothing more than four elastic bands to hold the Kindle in place, all its sides are largely exposed (I can see keys scratching it left right and centre). They also seem a good deal bulkier.

Does anyone have any recommendations? I would be ever so grateful!

As you can see I bought this in August of last year when I first got my Kindle. It is inexpensive, robust and a number of my friends have subsequently bought one. Kindle sits in case very securely. I travel quite a lot and this cover has been excellent.

I gave up and knitted one - but in my defence it really does protect from scratches and I never lose the blessed thing in my handbag as it is bright pink.

The leather Kindle case which has a built in light (from Amazon) is very robust and closes securely.
