Halifax 'home owner rate' and 'halifax svr'

hi all,
whats the difference in these two rates.
im currently on the SVR and want to find a deal to get off it as its going up to 3.99%....but i would like to know the dirrence between these 2 ..would it influence my decision when looking at new deals...anyone know?

AFAIK the recent increase in SVR was to equalise the SVR and HVR at 3.99%. I don't know of any links or controls on either rate in the future, so I expect they will remain the same.

Halifax have also allowed themselves to room to raise the SVR by a further .25%.0

SVR has a link to BofE (which they can vary at 2 months notice).
HVR doesn't.0 -
strange to have two differing rates, that they can really do what they want with!? up down etc...weird0
