Whilst FOS protection came in on the 29th April 1988, the Financial Services Compensation Scheme didnt start until 29th Auguest 1988. So Prudential are correct.
Its end of the road.
On the upside, Pru policies are very good and in 2005, all maturities hit target and paid an average surplus of £2200. In 2006, all paid surplus with an average of £3300.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). The comments I make are just my opinion and are for discussion purposes only.
