semi permanent hair dye

Just wondering if anyone knows of any other semi permanent hair colorings apart from the 2 main ones i regularly buy...

Loreal Castings
Garnier Herbashine

These are the only 2 that seem to be available in the likes of Boots/Superdrug/Tesco etc.

Not had a problem with them as such, just wondering we we dont have more choice!

Boots, Boots Botanics, Superdrug - they have their own versions. I'm using the Superdrug one at the moment, I think the colour on the box is pretty true to what it does to your hair.

How are semi permanent dyes for your hair? Do they damage it/dry it out? I'm ginger but fancy going bright red for a few weeks hehe, just because, well...why not?!

  • Nice & Easy is good & Swarchkopf Country Colours.

CompBunny... I only use semi permanent colours on my hair & have never had a problem. They are kinder to hair & because they wash out, your not stuck with a colour that you don't like.

I've used the Nice n Easy semi to liven up my hair between permanent colours, and the Boots Botanical semi which left my hair lovely and shiny.
  • The nice & easy semi permanents are usually on offer in Wilkinsons. The country colours can be found in Home Bargains, B & M & Savers.

If your going for nice & easy, make sure you get the 24 washes one as there is a better range of shades & it lasts longer than the 8 washes one.

I've just tried that permanent one that's supposed to work in 10 minutes. It barely touched the grey bits :(.
In contrast I've had semi permanents doing a better job and some that have lasted as long as a permanent.
