Thanks eveyone. I know there are regs as we have a complicated system of recording hours so that we don't exceed the 48 over the 17 weeks where I work.
Fat chance of any overtime at the moment though...

She spoke with a manager yesterday who was astounded that the restaurant manager had put her down for the shifts she was working and said we are not allowed to do this!
But could not see what time off she could give as they were busy and short handed... (People have been quitting over the hours)

It is sort of bizzarre as my 2 other kids are trying to find hours in their jobs and there are no extra.

I told her to stick it out for a few weeks and see if things change. There might be some hope that they will get a schedule out that is reasonable, as some of the bosses know it is wrong.
