    Hi Deb,

My favourite flavouring is butter and brown sugar. Melt about 2oz butter on the hob and add a couple of tablespoons of brown sugar and a about half a tablespoon of water. Stir over a gentle heat until the sugar dissolves then add the popped corn and stir until it's evenly coated. This gives a lovely buttery, caramel flavour.

We have an existing thread with lots more ideas that may help:

    HM Popcorn?

I'll add your thread to that one later to keep the suggestions together.

The secret to getting any flavouring to stick to the popcorn is melt a little butter and toss the popcorn in that first. My DD loves salted popcorn but the salt always ends up at the bottom of the bowl until I read about tossing the popcorn in butter then adding the salt or sugar.

I do caramel syrup the same way as Pink-winged and sometimes I melt a little butter with a bit of golden syrup.

I've just discovered that if I put a bit of salt in before I pop the corn, all of it ends up tasting salty, but I need much, much less salt.
