Do I have to "self cover" my holidays by working an extra 28days??

    I think a bought of flue needs to aflict 2 of you at the same time!

    How do they cover sick?
  • I know it's not a good situation to be in but its a job and I was unemployed for 2yrs after being made redundant so I'm gratefull to have a job even though this self cover policy is awful.
    When someone's off ill and another is on holiday whoever's left has to work a normal shift and they draft in the shift supervisors to cover the other two even though they can't really do the job properly.
    We also have to sign the working time opt out form in our initial contract.
