Tesco Clubcard Deals Question

I am saving to take my children to Disneyland Paris, so far I have £654 in Deals (£163.50 in Clubcard Vouchers including the £19 I have for May already). It says I need to use Leger to book but can only do it by coach, how do I find out how much I need to save in total - I have May's & November's to add to this total before some of them run out - and even though it says coach on the Tesco website can we use another form of transport as Ledger website as flights, Eurostar etc?
2023 wins - Rice Krispies, Avene Micellar Gel, Barbie Toy, £20 Apple Gift Card, KFC 6 piece bargain bucket, Chloe Nomade perfume, Barbie Toy (second one), Sanctuary Spa Sleep Balm, E45 Moisturising Lotion, Trolls Hamper, 12 Tonie Characters, Sure deodorant, Good Home Utensil holder, £5 Costa Gift Card, Neutrogena Micellar Jelly, Soap & Glory Mascara, Persil capsules,

  • Ok, I just double checked and it is definately only executive coach travel, it states that you can only use clubcard deals vouchers for coach. Air, train and other extras are NOT allowed. You need to get a Leger brochure for this year and work out the full price, you will get no discounts at all, alternatively call Leger direct on 08000189898 ask to be put through to clubcard deals disney dept. and get them to quote you.
They will only be able to quote you at this years prices tho', and if you don't want to go by coach then the quote won't really be any good to you.

I spoke to someone at clubcard recently who did say that they were looking for more companies who would do Disney hols as they were so popular so it might just be worthwhile holding onto the vouchers, and just getting as many points as possible, before turning any into deals and see what happens over the next 6 months or so.... that's what I'm doing as I want to take my 2 for xmas 2008.

  • I only started saving my vouchers last February so need to swop them over by next Feb - is that right? I think once I've swopped them into deals I have 6 months to use them but can book the holiday for whenever. I'm really bad with travel sickness & don't like coaches, would prefer EuroStar.

You can convert your Clubcard points to Air Miles though the Deals brochure, and book with them - and you can travel any which way you like! Click here for the Air Miles / Disney website.

Don't think of Air Miles as just flights - we booked a hire car last year and they were not only the best value, they use Avis (quality), they give you a free upgrade (then Avis gave us another one at the airport, they felt sorry for us with three kids and gave us a people carrier, having paid for a Focus!!) - and it was effectively free!

    hope this helps

If you mean, "do you have to swap them over or lose them", the answer I believe, is, NO, Ive read somewhere that you can have them put back into your account and have them re-issued with a further 2 year date on them.
    Couponing....."every little hurts"

But all the people can't be all right all the time. .........I think Abraham Lincoln said that.

I have been saving my vouchers for this too, but be warned, Leger Holidays stop their association with clubcard this year - you have to book by 30th September and travel by 31st December, but I am going to investigate the airmiles option as well.

I have spoken to Clubcard who have said they are looking for somebody to 'fill the gap' as Disneyland Paris is always such a popular deal.

I have some vouchers that expire in May, the lady at Clubcard said that if I sent them back they would 'credit' them back to my account.

I really want to go February half term next year, my son will be 12 in March so we need to go while he is still classified as a child!

Airmiles and club card points are only any good if you can buy what you need from Tesco at a price cheaper than any other place.

Some weeks I use Asda others Tesco for food it depends on the savings.

Do a shop at tesco and say spend £100 a week points 100 do the same shop at Asda no points but save £8 so you have 400 points after a month or have saved £32 at Asda convert this cash into airmiles and you get around 1000.

The other problem is tax and fuel charges.

Air miles do not cover these.

You then have to look at distance.

A flight from London to Malaga is about 15000 airmiles + tax and fuel charge a cheap flight to Malaga about £80 inclusive.

So if you are going to use airmiles save save save and go off to Australia.

But with Tesco bonus codes I can do a shop of £50 (or less with bogofs) and get 1000 bonus points worth £40.

In 6 months I have saved £1609 in deals with Tesco and have 10,000 points already towards next quarter.

I looked at airmiles and unless you do the BA airmiles it doesn't seem worth it. My deals are going to probably be spent with Virgin to Florida.
