Hope this isnt a silly question....
Every month I try to keep money for presents/car stuff/ etc etc, the things that you cant "pay" every month, but you need to keep by. But as its all in the same account it invariably ends up getting lost
How does everyone else do it??

Hi there:) I have online banking and have set up 4 (up to now) online saving accounts to which I have instant access. There is a 'fast transfer' facility on my online banking page where I can switch money instantly between these accounts.
Hope this helpsLBM August 2011. DFD somewhere post [STRIKE]2025[/STRIKE]2022

Thank you, that sounds a good idea... I bank with nat west, and have online banking with them - so if I can do an online savings account too, that would help..... would I really be able to do more than one? Would they not think I was strange?!0

I have an online savings account with an instant transfer option.
I use a page on my budget spreadsheet to list all the 'pots' and how much goes in to each one every month, and what the total is.
So even though the money is all in one place, it's not an account I'm using day to day, and I know how much is allocated to each thing if I do need to transfer some over.0 -
My account is with Natwest so yes, you can definitely have more than one.

I tried this .... and failed miserably
