Does someone tell you he is behind you or you know? I'd turn round and say 'oh, I think there is something wrong with your face, you may have had a stroke!'

I had a feeling he was doing it from the look on the faces of the people in front of me and then I have caught him doing it twice.

Next time. Ask him politely if he is making that face because he has a twisted testicle. If he says no...ask him if he wants one.

..Seriously though, call him out on it and ask him to stop as it's 'both unprofessional and making you uncomfortable as a woman to have a man leering behind you' Indicate you don't want to speak to HR but you will if he doesn't stop. If he has half a brain he will stop. No man wants a rep as a sex pest in the workplace - HR generally take a VERY dim view of that.

If you can't fact doing that, speak to HR about it and ask them to have a quiet word .

Under no circumstances retaliate as some people are suggesting, but DO call his bluff. Turn round and say politely "excuse me is there some problem" start taking notes of dates and times this happens and also who else was involved, witnessed the behaviour etc. Then ask for a private meeting, tell him that you do not like his behaviour and that you would like him to stop it. If he denies the behaviour, tries to make it your fault or mocks you, say that his response is unacceptable and that you will be raising a grievance. Good luck.
