Almost at end of DMP.

Hello there,
I am almost at the end of my 5.5 year DMP.
I had a total of over £50,000 to pay off, I now have £3,500 left to pay.
I assume that when this last part is paid off, then that is it. I'm clear.
But my wife has heard a rumour that the CC companies and banks will then try to recover the interest they suspended earlier in the DMP.
Obviously if this is the case, I will feel aggrieved. I was not told by anyone, at any stage, this would be the case.
In fact, if anything, I was told that the interest that some companies began to charge again after the first year, may well be recoverable by us.
If anyone out there has completed their DMP, and can put my mind at rest, I would be very grateful.
Thanks in advance, everyone.
KK

King, I have 8 payments left with PP, £55.000 paid to date £9,000 to go so interested in your post.
Found on a different site (The Consumer Action Group) that as they have provided annual statements with no interest they cannot then at the end, try and reclaim it.
Obtain letters from your creditors at the end stating that the debt has been repaid in full for peace of mind.0 -
We heard that rumour about Barclaycard. Our DMP finished in November and no nasty letters so far.Proud to have dealt with my debts, became debt free on 03/11/2011. Repaid £54,723.41 LBM May 2006.
