new straighteners but which ones??? please help!!!

HI all
my ghd hair straighteners have died and I need to buy some new ones. When I bought my ghd's they were one of the only brands of ceramic straighteners on the market but having a quick search there are now loads of different brands. I just need some help from all you guys as to whether I stick with ghd or go for a different brand.

Any experiences that you have I would love to hear about to help me make my decision.

Looking forward to your replies and making my hair look decent again!!!!

Personally I would go with ghd's again. i had a pair of ceramic ones by 'Hair Tools' before my GHDs, they were ceramic but when I eventually replaced them as a b'day present I could really tell the diff - GHDs just glided through my hair, whereas the Hair Tools ones pulled at it a lot more.

I've tried a few different brands, GHD hands down- wish I'd tried them first as I'd have saved so much money!

I've tried Nutri-Heat by Trevor Sorbe which were too wide for my small head.
Babylis- the red coloured version with steam. Didn't like and again too cumbersom and difficult to style my hair.
Sedu- these just snagged my hair so I couldn't use them very often.

Also have tried friends straighteners: Remmington, Whal, Ikona (or something like that!) None matched the GHDs I now have.

Just be careful to use a heat protectant, the main fail point of GHDs I think is that they didn't put in a temperature dial which is crazy when you realise how different heats are needed for fine vs thick hair and even on my head I don't need half as much heat near the front of my head then as I do at the back.
