Gift Help

Ok, we are on a mega budget and are starting to think about gifts for the wedding party etc. Not the favours, a friend is supplying them free. LOL

I know flowers for Mums is traditional but i dont want to do this as my blooms will be fake and made myself so it would be a bit daft to spend twice what mine cost on flowers for them? LOL! No bridesmaids besides my girls and will get them something from the disney store i think, they are only 2 and 4 lol! DP will sort bestman, some booze prob.

I was thinking of a little token gift, trinket box or photo frame or the like and a lottery ticket and then a heartfelt card saying thank you for your help etc. What do you think? What would you think of recieving that? Everyone knows we are on a mega budget so no shock to anyone!

Ta!

Depending on your budget; how about a flower card. I got one for my mum for Mothers Day and they are lovely. Cost of 20pound.

Lottery ticket seems ok but (and this is only my opinion) a bit, well, bland...(sorry)

how about a nice picture of flowers from somewhere like the works in the centre

or have you thought about making a little hamper up for her from poundland, home bargins etc

or B&M homestores in the old MFI building in bletchley is a good place to look for home stuff
The only people I have to answer to are my beautiful babies aged 8 and 5
  • I think something like a photo frame/ album with an iou for a wedding photo once you have got some back would be lovely for Mums. You can pick up some very reasonably if you shop around.

Who else is helping that you need to get gifts for?

What about a potted plant? Still traditional but cheaper! IKEA had orcids and pot for £7.49. Or if you have time to grow something yourself seeds and a pot wont be as much!

Not a hamper from Poundland please.
My daughter will be presenting me with something in October, I would spot Poundland stuff a mile away and I would be absolutely horrified.
    I would rather have nothing.

Nothing to stop you buying a nice £10 bunch of flowers from the Supermarket and dress them up with ribbons etc.
make the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.
and we will never, ever return.
