I have googled pet sitting/home boarding, and there seems to be a vast difference - from £8 to £30-40 per day.
I had thought £20, but my OH says I should be charging minimum wage at least (this seems excessive to me).
The puppy is not old enough to go for walks and the owners will supply food. I am in the Midlands if that makes a difference, and I am aware of all the insurances, etc, that I should have.
Any and all advice will be gratefully received.
I seen a couple of people on Dragons Den recently who were looking for an investment. They were charging £20 - £30 a day in Edinburgh which is quite an affluent area. I think £20 a day is certainly a fair price depending on were you stay excluding the London area, which would be more expensive.Lao Tzu - "Give a man a fish and feed him for a day, teach a man to fish and feed him for a lifetime"

If you are NARP registered, CRB checked and insured I don;t see anyone making money out of less than £25 a day.
HH I note you say insurance you "should" have, I hope you actually have it!NOT a NEWBIE!

Mrs Kar has been running an independant Home Boarding (and dog walking) business for 5 years and £20 a night is the average she and other reputable colleagues she knows charge.
In addition to having full business insurance, she is licensed by the local authority. Most councils insist on being registered with them to comply the the Animal Boarding Act.
There are a growing number of people out there that charge less but many are often doing so without insurance cover or a license.
I would strongly advise anyone against using uninsured and/or unlicensed boarders/sitters.
You can usually check with your council for a list. Here is ours for our location Pattingham South Staffs.... (I beleive we're not allowed to advertise who we are on this forum!)
