Yes the lender is halifax, you are right many bad threads about hsbc, i noticed a couple whilst browsing but when you search you see just how many there are!!
HSBC to their credit have never changed their lending model. Traditional conservative lending. Borrowers are having to adjust there mindsets to old fashioned lending criteria.
Suggest you see if letting the existing property is viable on BTL rates. If not sell and use the equity.0
