Unsecured/unprotected Barclayloan PPI?

Greetings,
I took out a Barclayloan online for £2000 spread over 5 years which I'm 4 years into, I have to pay back £3128.I've been reading about this ppi lark where people have had it included without their knowledge etc. I'm not sure if I've had it added or not. All I can see on my statement is 'unsecured'. I did it all online and received the terms and conditions, there is no mention of ppi.

I am just wondering what my chances are of making a claim? I very nearly went with one of those companies that sort it all out for you relaised they're a rip-off. Is it best to just write directly to the bank?

Cheers in advance.

What was the APR of the loan? For that length and cost the APR would have to be 19% or so.

Unsecured just means the loan is not secured on property etc.

I see, thought that was their wording for it. Glad it wasn't secured if it gives them the right to take your property! The APR was 20.9%.
