I am really glad I have inspired others to join me, the more the merrier.
We are not veggies can you tell!! But do try to have one veggie meal a week and a soup day as well to keep costs down.
We have an allotment, but wrong time of year for our own veggies, only really got leeks atm, but have a smashing farm shop on the school run route that I tend to pop into every couple of days and pick up fresh vegetables as we need them, that way they don't go soft and nothing gets wasted.:A:A:j DEBT FREE FROM 01/01/11 :j

yes, we grow our own veg too but only have onions and lots of dried chillies

One of the freezers is a third full of HM curries of various sorts - but i don't want to eat them all in the next month... BUT i would like to empty the freezer in the pantry and i have no idea what is in that, plus the other two thirds of the garage chest freezer has the things i have been avoiding as i dont quite know what to do with them...plus a giant goose that i have found at the bottom - i think that will do for over Easter...
I have been eating from the freezer for about a week already so all the "nice and easy" meals have gone ie the roasting joints and chops...and i am left with a whole load of challenging things that i will have to think about...
i have just had a look and a whole drawer of the pantry freezer is full of home grown soft fruits - redcurrants, blackcurrants, rasberrys, rhubarb...... and i have 10 packets of frozen pastry.... so thats puddings sorted out!
right i will be back with a list but not tonight as big freezer is in garage which is not near the house...

I laughed out loud the “freezer tetris” phrase, it’s so perfect. I’m a whoopsie a holic also. To the point that after last weeks shop we can’t go shopping until we have used some bits – not a bad thing until we need milk of course!0

I happened to pop into waitrose for milk and wandered past the reduced section:D:D, two packs of reduced sausages and some reduced breadcrumbed cod pieces later:whistle::whistle::whistle:.
I did say I needed rehab for my whoopsie sticker addiction:rotfl::rotfl:.:o

Oh this sounds so familiar! had to sort out my upright freezer recently and wrote down everything, plus which drawer it was in. Notebook now on top of microwave and we are really being good at crossing things out. I find it harder to list ingoings as I just want them in the freezer quickly by the time I get back from the shops. I also have loads of fish - strange as I love it and am amazed I didn't realise how much was there. Still, we are trying to eat our way through now so hopefully the stash will reduce. After all, it's money we've already spent so why spend more!Resolution:

I sorted mine at the weekend - 59 family sized portions of beef, pork, lamb and sasuages - lets not even get started on the bread, veg, fruit etc. I am nearly totally out of chicken though.....People seem not to see that their opinion of the world is also a confession of character.
