metal roof, ex-local & 100% mortgage - help pls?

Hi

I hope some-one can give me some advise or pointers.

Does anyone know if I would have any problems getting a 100% mortgage on a 3 bed house that has a metal roof? (they are quite common in the area, and the property is mortgaged at the moment)

I qualify for a 100% normally, been looking at Northern Rock, so its just really the question of the metal roof( it is in good condition)

Can anyone suggest the best mortgage companies, if I should expect problems.

Have you asked who the current mortgage is with?

Your best bet is to contact a whole of market adviser - they will normally have contacts with lenders who will be able to answer the question straight away, or ask the surveyors they use, if the property will be ok for lending purposes.

I take it you mean metal trusses. This should be possible I think I know of a lender that would do this but its not the easiest deal in the world. Not sure if Northern rock will as they are a bit strict on funny construction. best to ask them
