sorry no other board available.....
we cannot stomach any more reality tv and celeb' pap being broadcast into our house. however we do like a good drama on dvd.
we want to get rid of our tvs and just keep the dvd player, but we realise that the authorities are v keen on pursuing us intensively. please understand this is not a dodge and we will not be watching tv.
does anyone have any advice about how to achieve this in the simplist possible way. our dvd player also has build in freeview, but we can get rid of the aerial if this will satisfy the authorities.
thanks in advance

If you don't have a TV anywhere in the house, and you aren't using or watching any TV by any method, then if you just tell the TV licencing people that then it's true, isn't it?
TV licensing came to visit us (I don't have or watch any sort of TV). They looked around for TV sets, but they didn't quiz me on whether I had a dvd player anywhere hidden that might be able to receive TV.
They actually have to prove you are watching TV (by means of signal, active cabling etc) I believe, so if you aren't watchingany TV you should be fine.Indecision is the key to flexibility
