Are tax credits paid within your wages or as a separate cheque through the post (or into your bank account) please? Thanks x

I'm pretty sure that Tax Credits are paid straight in to your bank account.
As you will get them paid every 2 or 4 weeks depending on what you chose when you claimed.SAVINGS: £63.86 // £3,0000 -
Straight into your bank, every 4 weeks usually. Just make sure you are as honest as you can be with them, because they frequently mess up payments and then suddenly want their money back...Ninja Saving Turtle0

I ask cos we got a letter saying that the household has too much money (ha ha haaaaaaa) to get them any more. However, as far as we both knew, we already weren't getting them! Our LBM: Dec 2011. DMP started: Jan 2012. Debt at LBM: £41,568

Hi BR.

I wonder if you used to get them and still have an open 'claim' so to speak, I.e. you still get assessed on an annual basis?
A lot of people who got the basic amount ( I was getting £46 monthly) have now had letters to say their money is stopping due to the new thresholds.
Another scenario might be that you overpaid in the past and your past year's award has been used to pay back that arrears?LBM August 2011. DFD somewhere post [STRIKE]2025[/STRIKE]2022

Oh that's possible yes. I vaguely remember MR BR complaining about tax credits and the fact that he doesn't get any due to an overpayment, before I loved in with him years ago, so perhaps that's it. An open claim...Our LBM: Dec 2011. DMP started: Jan 2012. Debt at LBM: £41,568
