Mortgage Exit Interest - advice needed

I had a fixed rate mortgage for 6 years. After 5 years I relocated and sold my property. As I initially moved into rented accomodation whilst looking for another property I repaid the mortgage. I was charged £2500 interest as I had not had the mortgage or the full 6 years. This was 4 years ago. Has anyone experienced similar and do I have a case to ask for a refund as I had no option other to pay the fees at the time as the £2500 as included in the settlement figure given to my solicitor

No, you don't have any case for a refund. The ERC was in you contract and you ended the loan before the term of the ERC had expired.0
