I've worked out that it actually costs £7.50 for a £5 Robert Dyas voucher but it costs you £15 for a £5 Tesco voucher or for any of the other stores £5 vouchers.
So, James, where do you actually think the scheme is worth it now as per your quote "So as you've said, there are some combinations where the scheme's not worth it anymore eg for Pizza Express" just in case I'm working this out wrong or missing something which is good value. I can't actually find anything on the rewards which is worth spending the hard earned points on. I might actually keep them to see what they bring on for Christmas offers but I'm not going to buy any more papers.
I wish they would go back to the original system as it was much fairer.
PS: Sorry folks, I was on a bit of a roll there lol!!
Firstly the Daily Mail Saturday is still 90p, so it's £19.20 for 2000 points but I get your drift.
As mentioned my vouchers cut down the Sunday spendout, and relatives help with the Saturdays, on the latter even if I got them from here, free is free.
"Worth it" depends on you, I get my pizza from Pizza Hut when they have offers or I get Pizza Express from the supermarket, I'm not bothered about going to the restaurants. Have also discounted Zavvi purchases which were already cheap and picked up the odd DVD or two.
I do actually want a TV guide anyway that includes the next Saturday, printed - as I don't want my PC on all the time just to see what's on TV. So I'm buying that paper anyway and I read it, I agree with you that if you don't actually read one of the the papers and you were only getting the paper for the codes, then give up now. If I didn't have help I would've stopped for good, not just because of a break for holidays. Even if I'd stopped, like you I would take a look at the terms and conditions for a Xmas collection even if I had stopped for good, as that Love2shop voucher replaced a broken heater last year in winter, for nothing more than the papers I was buying anyway plus some Nectar points.0 -
