Default Letter - Who Do I Write To?

Whilst going through a personal issue I fell behind on payments to Next Directory who sold the account to Moorcroft.
I would like to try to get the default removed from my credit history but who do I write to?
On my credit report its displayed as being from Next so should I try writing to them?
Has anyone ever had any joy in getting defaults removed by Next?

If it's still recorded in Next's name, then they are the data controller for the purpose of your credit reports. So you write to them.
