Hi,
Im just wondering wat some ppl would do in my situation.
I have been working for my company for over 10 years, and being bullied on and off fr the past 4 year by the same person.
he was demoted at one stage partly due to his beaviour.
I am currently of ork sick due to hie recent behaviour towards me, My manager is moving him to a different office. I mut admint our personalitites do clash.
I get on very well with the manager and respect him .
I am due to go in hospital mid april for a operation recovery time is 4 weeks.
I have just been offered another job closer to home.
I was not going to hand my notice in till i had my op just incase anything went wrong but should i informally tell my manger know about this.
So in 3 weeks i have 4 weeks off then leave.
Any advice would be gratefully received ?

Hand your notice in after the op.If you haven't got it - please don't flaunt it. TIA.0

There is no "informal "about telling a manager that you have another job. And it looks bad on you if you are hedging your bets for more sick leave if you need it. Make a decision and stick to it. If you like and respect your manager then its probably mutual,so dont mess that up right at the end. You never know when you might need them again.0

I to would leave it until after the op. No matter how well you get on with your manager, he is still your manager & there is no informal way to tell him your leaving. He will be duty bound to inform HR & his boss whilst also doing what is best for the department he manages.
Good luck with the op.If my posts have random wrong words, please blame the damn autocorrect not me
