Does anybody reccommend any software where I can create a forum for around 15 mates who want to keep in touch and leave messages. I already have a webspace if thats required, Thanx

There are lots of free boards available. It depends on what features you have available with your hosting provider.
The following boards require PHP & MySQL:
Invision Power Board
vBulletin
ASP Boards:

If you do have php and SQL then go for invision, even i managed to set one of those up without any trouble..
Can even get add on arcade games for it..0 -
The best forum I have used has to be Ikonboard. Unlike most others though it is a Perl based forum. They also do free forum hosting at myikonboard
Before installing a forum check the T&C of your webhost as some do not allow some types of forum software on their servers. For instance, while looking for a new host myself last month I found one that bans use of all versions of YaBB (the software this forum uses).0
