Bank Account help please.

Can anyone recommend a basic bank account, I am on a dmp, and I need to open a new bank account, have poor credit history, don't want to keep making applications and being turned down, if any one could suggest any good banks which would help I would be very grateful thankyou.:)

    I can recommend Co-Op Cashminder account, easy to set up over the phone in 10 minutes.

    a nat west step account is ok you can still pay direct debits and use internet banking,just no overdraft

    Co-op Cashminder works for me. Just make sure you apply for an account with a bank where you don't have any debts.
    Proud to have dealt with my debts, became debt free on 03/11/2011. Repaid £54,723.41 LBM May 2006.

  • I like Barclays - Cash Account - application was so quick whilst in branch and got a named person there I can see
    and
    coming in 2nd.. Halifax - Easycash - can apply for account online, only drawback is the no counter service allowed in branch :(

    Both so helpful in every other sense and you can have internet banking :) and their weekly texts are a godsend which are free lets me know balance, I also believe the Co-operative's Cashminder now do the texts to x
