Help please white marks on wooden table

I did a bread making session today and having no spare worksurface sat the loaves on a cooling rack on the wooden kitchen table - when I lifted them off OH said, "What on earth's that?" - AAARgghhh! There are huge white heat /water marks where they were sitting ( it's about a third of the table , I did a huge bake !!!! ) What can I do to fix it? It's not a precious table in the monetary sense, it's a pine one I've had for years but it's got all the little fork marks where DS used to stab it when he missed the plate when he was eating ( as a toddler! ) and I don't want to sand it all and lose them - I know, too sentimental! I've hunted through the indexed threads but can't find anything ( though I'm sure there must be ) - Thanks

Don't worry, the search can be a real pain........I searched for threads with "wooden" in the title and it came up with these. I'm sure there are more but I can't find them!

The other half left a hot cup on the dressing table and it as left a white mark. It is a pine one with a light finish on it varnish I think , any ideas.

I'll ry this. When we had a house full of people a few months ago, someone put a cup of tea down on my coffee table. Result - a white patch which much polishing etc has failed to remove. I'll go and try now!

Best of luck, I had a small table which was in the house when I bought it over 10 year ago. It had two circular white marks on it. I had tried everything but none made a jot of difference. Then I tried this, the smaller mark came out easy, the bigger mark took a bit more ironing, but it came out completely. Could not believe how easy it was, it looks a good a new!!! I am sure you will get it out, but go easy at first, it's the kind of thing you would think would make it twice as bad but it's a miracle solution!!
