Do I need to register to pay tax etc?

An acquaintance is starting up a small charitable tea room this week and has asked me to bake a few items weekly for her. I will just be doing this at home and delivering them to her. I will be making about £10 per week after the cost of ingredients.
Do I need to tell HMRC? I have been a SAHM for the past 5 years and don't claim any benefits.
Do I need to tell environmental health?
There is public liability insurance for the tea room: do I need to think about it too?
If anyone can help with these questions, please point me in the right direction. I just want to make even a wee bit of money doing something I love, and help out a charity at the same time.

Ask HMRC about tax, they are actually quite helpful. If computer says yes, you may need to sort out pension payments too. If one earns less than a certain amount they waive those payments but you still has to jump through all the paperwork hoops.
Haven't got a clue about the other stuff. The mind of the bigot is like the pupil of the eye; the more light you pour upon it, the more it will contract.

Just had a look on HMRC's website. It seems I will need to register as self-employed, but can earn up to £7k or a bit over before having to pay any tax.Father Ted: Now concentrate this time, Dougal. These
