Hi all
im trying to clear all my debt and at the moment seem to be stuck arguing with capquest
they placed a ccj against me many years ago for an outstanding sum of £300 after talking to them they are telling me I now owe £500
do I only need to pay the amount outstanding by the ccj or am I supposed to pay all of it
unfortunately the first I had heard about this was applying for my mortgage, I have never had any paperwork from them which may be due to leaving a partner and moving away, unfortunate for me this partner is the one who had this card. obviously that's not their fault as it was my card and my responsability
Many thx for any help

What date is the CCJ and when you contacted crapquest, did you admit the debt was yours?
Might I suggest that it is never a good idea to phone these types of people, get everything in writing.
That say, who actually got the CCJ against you was i Crapquest or the Original debt owner. It has been known for a CCJ'd debt to be passed around variousDCAs which is a big no no.
Other help will be available when you have answered the above questions0
