Hello,

I defaulted on a natwest credit card back in 2004, and both natwest and phoenix recoveries had the default showing, when it should have only been one of them I complained to phoenix recoveries in 2010 but they wouldn't remove it.

Any way i thoughT after 6 years it would be removed. Got my £2 credit report from equifax today, the default is showing from phoenix recoveries, but it has no default date just the balance and showing updated April 2011.

How can i get this off and why is it still there? I am so annoyed.....

    Hi,

No this isn't paid, but the last time i made a payment was early 2004. I thought it was statute barred whether paid or not?

I was young and stupid, and i do not want to start paying it now cause it will stay on my credit file longer, i just want it gone.

Dispute the entry via the CRA and direct with Phoenix. If you have a copy of the entry as it previously was that would help, although not 100% essential.
