Flora 'New Improved'

Now tastes like animal sick? I've used Flora for years as it has been a really nice, neutral spread. Since they changed the recipe it a couple of months ago the kids won't eat it, the wife won't eat it and I've had to throw 2 kilos of it away.
Seriously, when they test this stuff out do they use people who enjoy the taste of animal sick?

Just a thought,
Strange way to describe something, but how on earth do you know what animal sick tastes like???0 -
The new stuff is softer and now tastes like cheap cash and carry marg0
-
They always seem to "Improve" items and make them worse , probably cheaper ingredients being used0

Flora New (and cheaper ingredients) Improved (profits for us)0

it smells like cheap 1970s marge. we never buy flora but my mil always buys it, but no more as she can't stomach it'We're not here for a long time, we're here for a good time0

I even wrote in about it and they said "Taste was a very individual thing."
I'm sure it is, but animal sick is animal sick. It makes 70's marg look, smell and taste like a luxury item. Hope the money they saved makes up for the impending mass loss of customers......0 -
I've only just seen this - had a similar experience:

They've lost this particular customer permanently though, even if they revert to the original Original. I followed the suggestion of the poster who liked Clover and found that I preferred it to Flora's original variety as well as the yukky new sort, so I won't be going back. I'd never have tried it at all if they hadn't messed around with the spread I'd used for decades, so it was a bad move on their part!Life is mainly froth and bubble

Can't speak for the OP - personally I haven't :rotfl:but I can certainly say Flora's 'tastier' version made me feel sick!Life is mainly froth and bubble
